It’s that time of year again, so on your marks, get “i-Ready…Set…Go!”
We’re back and hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School street festival, “Imanifest” at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy (241 E. Clifton Ave., 45202) on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. This is the 10th year Imani has partnered with Rothenberg to host this fantastic event! Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to provide free backpacks with school supplies to Rothenberg students, but to students in the community at large.
The theme for Imanifest and this upcoming school year is “i-Ready, Set, Go!”. As many CPS elementaries have adopted the i-Ready curriculum to teach and guide students to success, it’s only right that we all get “i-Ready” together! Last year’s Imanifest was a tremendous success and the community poured out in support of it. Each year, this event continues to grow, and we’re excited to see what 2023 brings!
Imanifest will include fun games, great prizes, health, fitness, financial and employment information for families, food, music, vendors, and backpacks with school supplies to be given away to students.
We also provide parents with information for the upcoming school year, essential living resources, and an hourly raffle where families will receive an opportunity to win a TV, electronics, gift cards, gift baskets, and more.
Be ready to enjoy inflatable rides, fitness activities, face painting, live animals, games, a community-painted canvas art piece, free food, and beverages, to name a few. We can’t wait to see you there!
Important Note for Families: The Registration Zone is where you will be able to get all the necessary information to navigate Imanifest and is the required 1st stop on your journey. If you plan to pick up any bookbags, please be sure to have the children with you that you are grabbing bags for. Thank you in advance! 😊

Our Objectives
We are dedicated to fostering increased participation in our after-school programs at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy and Woodford Paideia. Our primary objectives include equipping students with essential school supplies, empowering them for success, and creating opportunities for parents and adults to pursue further education and employment opportunities. Additionally, we aim to provide valuable health education information to ensure a successful upcoming school year.
Our Specific Goals:
Fundraising Goal: We aspire to raise between $10,000 and $12,000 to support our initiatives.
Attendance: Our target is to engage 1,000 or more students in our after-school programs.
Sponsors: We aim to secure the support of 15 to 20 sponsors who share our vision.
Raffle Items: We plan to offer an extensive selection of 60 to 80 enticing items for our raffle.
Volunteers: We are seeking 60 to 80 dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and the community at large.
The Challenge We're Facing
At the Imani Family Center, we firmly believe in the power of interaction and learning to foster a strong and supportive community. Our mission is to empower children and families, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. This summer, we have set our sights on providing new school supplies and backpacks to over 600-grade school students. We kindly request your support to ensure the ongoing success of this festival and make a lasting impact on the lives of these students and their families.

The Imani Fest is proud to have the support of our volunteers whose dedication brings the festival to life. Rain or shine, wind or heat, our volunteer team adds a spirit to the event we continue to applaud. Last year we had over 50 volunteers! But numbers don’t tell the whole story! It’s a feeling you can only get from putting community and school pride into action!
